Here's some good stuff from my day:

Surprise going-away treats at work with the department before I head off on training for the next 5 months!  My dearest Cathy made chocolate cake because she knows I loooooove chocolate!  How lovelyyyyyyyyy!

Also gained some alignment over an impromptu sushi dinner with Rakhi tonight which helped renew me in light of all the changes and....."learnings"..... I've had this past week.  

"Be your own constant" 

Really great perspective, really great mindset.  Stay your own course irrespective of what happens around you.  So timely.  So relevant.  

So thankful.

The best thing about being sick is taking a sick day from work!  I went down to the Sobeys in my pj's to pick up some yummy stuff for lunch. That's the other awesome thing about being sick - it's the best excuse to eat whatever I want!  And as much as I want!  Just me and my  elephants, living it up!  Yummmmmm.....!

Also, one my sweet friends gave me a valentine gift!  How nice!  And also yummy. :)

Today I had a good laugh with a colleague at work.  Long story short, he's right - everything DOES sound better in Latin!  Take, for instance, this:

"Aut viam inveniam aut faciam".

It means:

"I'll either find a way, or make one"

I think it's appropriate for me. :)

Also spent dinner with my Precious tonight.  Surprised (and embarrassed) her with some birthday cake and a sparkler. :)

Just another manic Monday.  Hit Canoe for a random winterlicious dinner with the girls.  Just ballin'.....  Y'know!  

Best part of the dinner:  when they made my blue drink turn purple!  Coooool!!!

1000 happy days - Day 213

Today's happy moment:  Superbowl Sunday with my family!  

I rarely pay attention to the football season even though my dad is obsessed.  My sister has taken more of an interest over the past few years, too, which is fun to see. :)  This is like my dad's own personal Eid or Christmas. :)  So Superbowl is the one game where we all definitely put everything else aside and indulge in the fever and fun of the day!  In past years, we've made an array of snacks to eat, sometimes homemade pizza, etc.  This year, we had a big meal together to celebrate. 

We're a Seahawks cheering squad here in this house!  Yeah!  May the best team (ahem....SEAHAWKS!!!) win!
