A lot to be thankful for today!  Finished NPDS and though I'm sad it's over and I'll miss all my new friends, it's been enlightening in more ways than one.  

I'm proud to say, Carrie hugged me today!  :) :) :) How many people can say that??!?  None!  I'm awesome!!!

Rough day after receiving the results of a 360 assessment.  Needed to do something I'm good at.  Did I ever tell you I am extraordinary at Solitaire?  Well, I am.

Back to the classroom today for our final week of this awesome training and I had to have this salad for my app.....again.  So good!

Today's happy moment started at brunch.....when my sister leaned over and blew in my ear, which I hate, and then when I turned to her with a scowl on my face, she said, albeit quiet and stealthy, "I love you."  Heart melting.  ❤

I enjoyed getting to know new people today, and reconnecting with some old friends.  And learned a couple of little things along the way as well.  I'm exhausted, and I think it's going to be challenging over the next few days to spend so much time with all these folks.  They are nice, I just need my personal time.  So at the end of a long day, this quiet big bedroom is perfect!

I think I have to take a big suitcase! I can't fit everything into one snazzy little duffle bag and one back pack!  Jeez....  Well, I'm happy to pay the price for the look of a fashionable young professional.  After all, I am what I am. :)

Today I went to the Pickering charity campaign kick-off event.  It was so nice to be among people that I've known forever.  I felt a liiiiiiiiiittle like a celebrity!  :) Actually, it's just nice to enjoy and receive all that warmth especially when you're experiencing a bit of insecurity.  And nothing beats that Manager dunk tank!  Hilarious. :)

1000 happy days - Day 112

Today I was talking to a friend and she and I were discussing dating and staying positive.  She said, with reference to her ex, that she thought she had what she wanted but it had gotten away from her.  

In all my nerdiness, my response was the following:

"Think of yourself as an equation.  And your ex was a point on a graph.  But if you tried to plug in his (x,y) values in your equation, you'd find his point is just one instance of your equation, if it was on your line at all (I mean, maybe you plug in his x-coordinate and find his y-coordinate is way the hell off the page!). Whether his point, this instance, is on your equation or not does not invalidate your equation.  Because your equation still exists.  And he is not on *your* equation."

And then we laughed at how nerdy that was.  It made sense in that moment, but not so much now that I've written it out.  Hahaha!  

Not to worry, I will write you all a novel.  It will be made into a cheesy rom-com right after that.

I was organizing today, cleaning and such.  I was moving things from an old wallet to a new one and found this stashed away:

Sometimes things get rough between people, but the measure of a man and a friend is in their steadfastness and sincerity.  

This is a reminder that I know what's real.  I have it already.
