1000 happy days - Day 112

Today I was talking to a friend and she and I were discussing dating and staying positive.  She said, with reference to her ex, that she thought she had what she wanted but it had gotten away from her.  

In all my nerdiness, my response was the following:

"Think of yourself as an equation.  And your ex was a point on a graph.  But if you tried to plug in his (x,y) values in your equation, you'd find his point is just one instance of your equation, if it was on your line at all (I mean, maybe you plug in his x-coordinate and find his y-coordinate is way the hell off the page!). Whether his point, this instance, is on your equation or not does not invalidate your equation.  Because your equation still exists.  And he is not on *your* equation."

And then we laughed at how nerdy that was.  It made sense in that moment, but not so much now that I've written it out.  Hahaha!  

Not to worry, I will write you all a novel.  It will be made into a cheesy rom-com right after that.
