Today's happy day post is going to be a bit of a recap of happy moments from the weekend.  I was excited to hang with some of my loveliest of lovely ladies in the big city of Montreal.

Today I walked to work because I had training at a spot downtown.  Whaaaaat! Best way to start a day.  :) :) :)

I also walked home.....through the Eaton's Centre...... Took 5 times longer to get home. :). Hahahaha!  

I made dinner, vacuumed and did laundry, so I feel like I've accomplished a lot today!

Watched The Voice, and now The Mindy Project (season 1, season 2 > season 3).  Perfect Tuesday night viewing.  :)

Today was MJ's baby shower. Admittedly, these events are not my favourite thing to do.  But she had us crafting (one of her many talents) onesies for her baby-to-be.  So here's the onesie I made....and I won the prize "most creative" onesie!  :) ❤

1000 happy days - Day 146

Today was a good day because I wore my jumpsuit to work under a blazer and with my booties.  

I also went to a retirement party and without feeling the need to strategize, I socialized.  Because now I can do that.  Relax.  Because I'm in.  Just need to keep up my awesomeness.

I have learned the following phrase:

"I'm always right!"

To be used repeatedly everyday, every hour.  :)

I also made fun of one of my favourite directors today - got him preeeeetty good today. :)

Something's working.... because my happy moment today was when Rosemary told me she can tell I have lost weight.  I'm so psyched!  Other people have mentioned it, but Rosemary confirmed it for me tonight.  Yay!  :)

.....Maybe this happy-day-effort really has had effects I didn't anticipate!

My dad loves football.  He went to watch the Bills take on the Pats yesterday.  The Bills didn't win, but I got this tee out of it! My dad is the sweetest.  ❤ :)

Happiness is.....

The best part about weekends is staying up late, I get to watch whatever I want for as long as I want!  I also ate dinner 3 times today.  YES!!! 

So, hey.....

If you're reading this, please remind me to be thankful, to keep doing this everyday. I need to remember how lucky and blessed I am.  Help me stay focused on what's working, what's good, what's great, what's positive, what's magnificent about my amazing life.  Need to keep this momentum going.

Sammu and I got to this networking thing 1.75 hours into the 2 hour scheduled slot.  Some may say that was terrible timing.  BUT!  SOME might see it as an opportunity to go to Marche's instead!  And that's what we did!  Nothing like a good old fashioned plate of Rosti!!! :)

Sub-plot: This dude named Tammer (sp?) told us that he measures how smart people are by how quickly they get his name.  He says when he introduces himself, the average person will hear and repeat back "Cameron".  So he repeats his name and they repeat back "Tamarind".  Then he explains that his name is like the word "hammer" but with a T, then they ask if his name is "Hammert".  ....... I died laughing.  Hammert.  Who are these people??!?

Today I was happiest when I was enjoying the 7 (8? 9?) course tasting menu at Bent, one of chef Susur Lee's amazing restaurants.  Served tapas style, we ate shrimp, lobster, oyster, salmon, ceviche, and my personal favourite: the Slaw. 

I savoured every. single. morsel. 

So good.

1.  Good day at work.

3.  I cleaned my toilet!  .....I KNOW!!!

4.  I made dinner for me and Jess for the first time in months.  I wish I had a picture to share with you.

Day 135

Today, one of my favourite and best friends got married to his long-time girl.  Mark and Colleen were married at city hall and I was lucky enough to be invited to witness the ceremony.  I feel so honored!  

Oh and this was my outfit for the occasion:

I've never seen him so emotional.  I loved it!  I loved the whole day!  

Later that night we partied.  I MC'ed and even with all the weddings I've been to, this was my first opportunity to MC.  Amazing!

Day 136

As you can imagine, 3 hours of sleep before Eid is *not* ideal.  And even still it turned out to be lovely. :) I didn't get a pic of me and Rubes in our matching recycled Eid outfits.  But I think we may have started a sister-sister trend.  It's on! Teams-teams is IN!  

Here are some pics of us with another little cutie.  We got home after prayers and socializing, and we all napped for hours, followed by a lot of football.  Low-key, but ideal for me!

Interesting days lately.....  Gotta keep doing this happy day thing because sometimes it feels easy to lose track of what's important.  

Today, we had the charity campaign Eid lunch at DN.  Next week is the PN version, hopefully I can make that as well.  Went well!  I even skipped a management meeting for it.  Kinda proud of myself for doing that.  

Had dinner at Jess' tonight.  She's the kind of friend who knows how to comfort others and she does it with a lot of love.  ❤

On the menu.....eggs!

And for dessert, Turkish delight from.....Turkey!  I didn't realize this is what it actually tastes like!  I've only ever had that chocolate covered stuff that tastes gross.  But this was yummy!  Rose, pomegranate, chocolate, pistachio and coffee.  Always fun to try something new. :)
