1000 happy days - Day 140

Today I was happiest when I was enjoying the 7 (8? 9?) course tasting menu at Bent, one of chef Susur Lee's amazing restaurants.  Served tapas style, we ate shrimp, lobster, oyster, salmon, ceviche, and my personal favourite: the Slaw. 

I savoured every. single. morsel. 

So good.

Hey everyone!  I love YOU!!!

Okay, here's what I'm happy about today:

1.  Good day at work.

2.  Fun outfit.

3.  I cleaned my toilet!  .....I KNOW!!!

4.  I made dinner for me and Jess for the first time in months.  I wish I had a picture to share with you.

5.  I love The Voice!  Best show on TV!

1000 happy days - Day 135 and 136

Day 135

Today, one of my favourite and best friends got married to his long-time girl.  Mark and Colleen were married at city hall and I was lucky enough to be invited to witness the ceremony.  I feel so honored!  

Oh and this was my outfit for the occasion:

I've never seen him so emotional.  I loved it!  I loved the whole day!  

Later that night we partied.  I MC'ed and even with all the weddings I've been to, this was my first opportunity to MC.  Amazing!

Wish I had a pic of all the girls together to post here.  I'll post it when I get it.  I had so much fun.  I haven't felt so free in a while.  I totally let loose, it was wonderful.

I love you Bighead!  You deserve the best of everything!  I am blessed to have you in my life!  And I'm so thankful to have been part of this momentous occasion.....

Day 136

As you can imagine, 3 hours of sleep before Eid is *not* ideal.  And even still it turned out to be lovely. :) I didn't get a pic of me and Rubes in our matching recycled Eid outfits.  But I think we may have started a sister-sister trend.  It's on! Teams-teams is IN!  

Here are some pics of us with another little cutie.  We got home after prayers and socializing, and we all napped for hours, followed by a lot of football.  Low-key, but ideal for me!

1000 happy days - Day 133

Interesting days lately.....  Gotta keep doing this happy day thing because sometimes it feels easy to lose track of what's important.  

Today, we had the charity campaign Eid lunch at DN.  Next week is the PN version, hopefully I can make that as well.  Went well!  I even skipped a management meeting for it.  Kinda proud of myself for doing that.  

Had dinner at Jess' tonight.  She's the kind of friend who knows how to comfort others and she does it with a lot of love.  ❤

On the menu.....eggs!

And for dessert, Turkish delight from.....Turkey!  I didn't realize this is what it actually tastes like!  I've only ever had that chocolate covered stuff that tastes gross.  But this was yummy!  Rose, pomegranate, chocolate, pistachio and coffee.  Always fun to try something new. :)
